Metastable Materials is a deep-tech startup in the circular economy space. Our mission is to reimagine recycling by pioneering our philosophy of 'waste as ores' and closing the recycling loop, one element at a time. We have developed a patented chemical-free -Integrated carbothermal reduction- technology to recycle Lithium-ion batteries and extract critical minerals from them. Our low-carbon process reduces the dependence on virgin mining and bolsters the bottle-necked metal supply chain critical for the energy transition. We are currently setting up a pilot plant in Bangalore. We are backed by leading investors such as Peak XV Partners, Speciale Invest, and Theia Ventures.
